For 2012 Aston Martin will launch the 2012 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 which will be of course a race car. We are not surprised that this model is sporty because this is the style with which the British producer has accustomed us. This model is part of a series of race cars, one which also includes: Aston Martin GT2 and GT4.

The new model 2012 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 was inspired from the Vantaga V12, the only difference between them is that the GT3 does not have specific elements for racing. All of this implies that some modifications were made in order to make the car more controllable and the first one was the composition of the structure which is made out of aluminum and composite. Because of the materials from which the car was made it is lighter and easier to control than the other models not to mention the fact that it will be a base for the Aston Martin´s racing program.

The engine of the GT3 is very powerful, it is a V12 engine with a capacity of 6.0 liters. Since the engine is so powerful we have a 600 horse power and about 516 lb/ft of torque. Other elements that the car has are a semi-automatic six speed transmission, a special ABS which was made for race cars, traction control systems and paddle shifters.

The price of the cars is estimated to be somewhere around 298,000 £ which means about 500.000 $. The car will be launched in 2012 and until then all kinds of tests will be done on it so that when it goes on sale it will not encounter any problems. The Aston Martin Vantage GT3 will have two competitors from its category Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 and the Mclaren MP4-12C GT3 but we are sure that it will do just fine.

The Mclaren MP4-12C GT3 also has 600 horse power but twin turbo V8 engine and a capacity of 3.8 liters. The other competitor Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 also has power of 600 hp but a capacity of 6.8 liters and a V8 engine.

So, this is the new model, the 2012 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 which will be launched next year. We hope that it will have a huge success and it will out win its competitors. Al we have to do is wait for it in the showrooms.
