Just zips on two sides. I thought that would be annoying, but it was actually helpful.

I bought this to go with my new Acer Aspire One with a 6 cell battery. The netbook itself fit perfectly, but only AFTER removing the battery pack. Had to return it. The sleave itself appeared will made, and would have been perfect if it had been bigger.

If you can take advantage of the Amazon rebate offer with this neoprene sleeve, I'm sure you will find many uses other than the protection of netbooks. It was made in China and the workmanship is excellent, including a little ring on one end so it can be attached to something. It could be a key chain for the Jolly Green Giant, but then I digress. Seriously, it does measure 7" x 9" with a 1" zippered gusset that opens about an inch or two beyond either of the two edges, allowing for a tight fit if necessary with the contained item to be removed by stretching the flexible fabric. I can fit my external drive inside this by stretching a little because it is deeper than the the 1" gusset. I love it and likely will now shop for one to fit my MacBook, too. It matches a silver Honda Accord very nicely, too, so I may actually use this in the car for goodies.

This is a nice little laptop hard rive case.
Its very soft and looks great, feels like jelly type
. But it only 7" size
and only fits small laptops. You can also use it as your
external hard drive cover. I actually use it to store my
western digital passport hard drive and my old ipod.
